My friends and I took a random trip to Anawangin just because we needed the break.

To dream of sunrise in your own special place

NAGSASA – a little farther but definitely worth it. Spending the weekend in Zambales, walking to the edge of Capones and capping the night of with a bottle of Tanduay by the shores of Nagsasa. It was a weekend made of happy things, the lovely night sky and the company of random people.

Failing to get the first bus to Iba, we had to take a detour to Olongapo then take another bus to San Antonio, bummer, but it was well, fine. I was also the type to go along with a plan B. It did seem a far journey to get to a piece of your own special place and I have been itching to get out of the metro for quite a couple of days prior to the trip. The thing is, I think, once you’ve reached pass Bulacan, you know it in your heart that the walls of the city have been passed. And that, is one of the loveliest feeling I know.

When you’re pass Sta. Rosa, or when you are out of the airport runway, you know it, it’s a sense of vacation freedom, a journey to your own special place, at least for me. It’s not a matter of where it is exactly but how you find it everywhere. I dream of sunrises in my special place, my own zen. By the shore, maybe with a beer in hand or a joint, will be as lovely as seeing the sun rise to warm you when the cold sea breeze blows.

To each his own, and as for me, this will always be ecstasy. The beach will always keep me at peace and the moon will keep me safe.

There’s not much to say about Nagsasa, only that it was bliss and all the happy feelings roll into one.

If you are up to look for that special place amidst the busy schedule, then a trip to Zambales will surely suffice.

Summer shop for summer break.

RELIEF!

It’s official. School's out... well till next year. As for the next few months, all I have to worry about is some travel plans and internship.

Hello summer break, I have been waiting for you for three weeks now. And to jump start my break, I got myself a new pair of sun glasses.Since my favorite black and green shades (see photo) magically disappeared in Anawangin, I treated myself a trip to Forever 21. The new one in Makati, funny how manic all the shoppers were. I did end up getting two new sun glasses and another scarf, which is in red and I completely adore it. It’s perfect for out of town trips.

Ever since I’ve booked my tickets for SEA, I think whenever I look for something to buy; I ask myself “will I get to use this on my trip?” I think that’s a good factor to consider if what I buy is an investment or a want. Just like the 899php tents in Ace Hardware, I’m still debating with myself if I should buy one or not.

I have a couple of more items in my to buy list, so wish me luck and hope I find great deals.

Naps and Late Nights

Waking up from a dream isn't always a happy thing, unless it’s a dream where you still find yourself swamped with things to do and another list of errands. Getting out of bed, reaching for my phone and finding out its way past 10am didn't help jump start what was supposed to be a productive day. Maybe I had a little too much happy time last night, maybe.

So I tried my best to get my creative juice on and pushed through with the job order I have lined up for the day, and a few hours have passed and my mind’s blank so I’ve decided to give myself a break and take a nap… and it was, as always, one of the best things about life.

NAPS. Nappy time is Happy time.

Hmmm, I rather miss the naps I took in Malasimbo.

However, at my age, I guess nappy time means later nights. And not being able to sleep till you see the sun shining again. Tsk, no matter how hard I try to sleep I just couldn’t. A glass of warm milk didn’t help either.

Sleep is not easily accessible anymore. The older we get, the less sleep we have? I hope not, I like my sleep and best of all I like my dreams… especially when credits roll, haha! I’ll save that story for another post.

So here I am and its 12:34, drafting the web pages for a client and the only thing that keeps me motivated is that the money I get from this gets me another trip out of the metro, gratifying indeed.

Hello Summer, we meet again.

The long walks, the sun on your skin and the chilly sea breeze, how I live to feel those over and over again. It's almost half of April and my summer's set and ready to go. I’ve got a couple of trips planned for my last summer break as a student. Next year, it’s goodbye allowance and travel funds from mom and dad and welcome to the rat race. So before I dive into the corporate world, I’d like to soak in the beauty of bumming around, travelling when I feel like it and being a tad bit spontaneous.

So here’s a cheers to a new blog and summer, my favorite season, and how I always end up wishing that you’ll never end. :D
